LG G5

LG G5 Full Phone Specification
One of the Android ecosystem's current banner devices, the LG G5 is, at least on paper, nothing short of phenomenal. It's got everything you could possibly want on a smartphone, along with innovations and features that help it go that extra mile. It's also taken a fresh approach to flagships, with the introduction of a totally unique modular design.

LG G5 Full Phone Specification
The LG G5 runs on the Qualcomm's brand-new Snapdragon 820 SoC, with two cores clocked at 2.15GHz and the other two clocked at 1.6GHz and along with a generous 4GB of RAM, makes the LG G5 one of the most capable performers available. Everything from booting to opening apps and games is snappy and immediate. The Snapdragon 820's GPU also provides a big step up in graphics performance. The G5 produced 2,844 frames, which translates to a super smooth 46fps. More cores doesn't necessarily mean better performance, though, as the G5 proved to be significantly faster and is among the most powerful smartphone processors available today. The LG G5 runs Android Marshmallow 6.0.1, with LG's Optimus UI 5.0 on top. By default, this is a single-layered user interface, much like what many Chinese smartphone makers load onto their devices. However, it is possible to switch to a traditional dual-layered user interface if you prefer. The software is fairly well designed, with a neat layout that looks and feels easy to manoeuvre around.

LG G5 Full Phone Specification

There's a dual-camera setup at the back, along with the laser autofocus window, flash and colour sensor.LG's made some pretty great smartphone cameras in the past, but the G5 goes one step further by having two sensors instead of one. One is a large 16-megapixel sensor, and the other is a wide-angle 135 degree 8-megapixel sensor. The rear cameras can shoot up to 2160p 30fps video. There's also a slow motion mode for the rear camera, which bumps up the frame rate to 60fps at full-HD resolution. Other features include optical image stabilisation, laser autofocus, and a colour spectrum sensor. With the wide angle sensor enabled, which is activated with a simple tap of the triple tree icon at the top of the camera app's UI, it’s surprising just how much more you can fit in the frame. You not only get a lot more height and width, making it a great fit for wide-sweeping landscapes and large crowds of people. It works with third-party apps like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram too, as you can simply use the in-app toggle button to cycle through the G5's three different sensors (standard, wide and front). There's also an 8-megapixel front camera. the front one can shoot video at up to 1080p at 30fps.

The G5's design is very clean too, with only a single volume clicker and SIM-tray present on either side. The volume control suffers from having a very shallow push, but it's usable nonetheless. While LG has ditched the volume keys on the rear, the lock switch remains in the slightly unorthodox position just below the camera sensors. The standby switch now also houses a fingerprint scanner. it’s fast and accurate. The LG G5 has a metal body, with a separate frame and rear shell. The metal shell of the phone is ever so slightly curved at the edges, but because of the separate frame, the phone doesn't always feel so good to hold.

LG G5 Full Phone Specification

LG G5 has 5.3-inch, IPS LCD, quad-HD display with always-on mode with an impressive 554ppi pixel density. As a result, it's incredibly sharp, and an absolute pleasure to view pictures, videos, games or websites on. Colours are also detailed and vibrant, thanks to a high contrast ratio that ensures decent colour accuracy, particularly helped along by the incredible black levels. The front of the phone is 70 percent screen, and has some distinct features that help it stand out. The glass at the top of the front curves back slightly.LG says it will only drain 0.8% of the phone's battery every hour, too, so it shouldn't have too much of an impact on battery life over the course of the day. You can't interact with the always-on display, and it will only serve as a visual indicator of the time and your unseen notifications.

LG has also improved the brightness of the screen, At its highest, it's at 900 nits.LG was one of the first manufacturers to really bring quad-HD, 2,560 x 1,440 panels to the mainstream,LG hasn't made the switch to a 4K display; it remains quad-HD.quad-HD is the highest resolution a phone needs to be unless it will be used for VR.There's also LG's 360 VR headset, which connects to the phone via USB-C to produce a rudimentary virtual reality headset. The phone acts as a kind of controller for the headset, allowing you to swipe, tap and scroll through its interface, also handful of low-quality 360-degree videos available, but you can also use the OK and Back buttons on top of the headset to move between its menus as well.

LG G5 Full Phone Specification
It is the first smartphone to incorporate interchangeable modules into its design –The battery comes apart from the bottom unit , which can feel like you’re breaking the device, and then you can attach it to other modules. The camera grip adds a touch more battery, a separate shutter button for both photos and video, and a jog dial for zoom. The second module is a DAC powered by some B&O tech. The DAC gives you 32-bit audio and an extra headphone jack. The modular system also hampers the build quality of the device. Both parts of the phone don’t quite fit flush together; there’s an ever-so-slight gap between the two. It’s minimal, but wide enough that I can see light filtering through. The standard module which comes with the phone is an ordinary phone base with a USB Type-C port, microphone, and speakers. It's colour-matched to the device.Unlocking it and sliding it out will reveal the phone's replaceable battery, which is fixed rather firmly to the module and will take a bit of effort to remove.

There's also Dual SIM and Micro SD slot, but it's hybrid, which means that you have to choose between a second SIM and extra storage space. It Support Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, and 4G connectivity on both TDD Band 40 and FDD Band 3. You get USB 3.0 with a Type-C connector, Also included is support for USB-on-the-go, along with various sensors including a compass, barometer and colour spectrum sensor. On the audio front, there's Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity, along with support for A2DP and aptX HD.There's a useful screen called Smart Bulletin, which can be activated through the Settings app. This gives quick access directly from the home screen to the calendar, health tracker, Quick Remote app, and more. You can also download additional apps to use with this feature.
